Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Haridwar Railway Station/Bus Stand – Proceed to Guptkashi
Upon arrival at Haridwar, continue your journey to Guptkashi. En route, enjoy the scenic beauty of the Mandakini River at Tirumala, which originates from Kedarnath. The drive along the river offers a glimpse of Uttarakhand’s natural splendor and cultural richness. Key stops along the way include Rishikesh, known for its yoga and meditation centers, Dehradun with its pleasant climate and educational institutions, Kempty Falls near Mussoorie, and the Arthnareshwar Temple near Rudraprayag, dedicated to Lord Shiva in his Ardhanarishvara form. Check in to your hotel in Guptkashi for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Kedarnath Trekking
After breakfast, drive to Sonprayag and begin your trek to Kedarnath (3,584 m) on foot or by pony/doli. Carry essentials like personal medicines, warm clothing, and toiletries. Explore Sonprayag, the confluence of the Mandakini and Basuki rivers, and visit Gaurikund, associated with Goddess Parvati. Complete the trek and check in to your hotel in Kedarnath for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Return Trek to Guptkashi
Wake up early for the morning aarti at Kedarnath Temple. Participate in the Abhishek ritual and seek blessings. After darshan, begin your return trek to Sonprayag and drive back to Guptkashi. Rest and relax at your hotel for the night.

Day 4: Guptkashi to Pandukeshwar
Continue your journey to Pandukeshwar via Joshimath. En route, visit Chopta, known as the “Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand,” and explore Joshimath, home to the Adi Guru Shankaracharya Math. Reach Pandukeshwar, a village with mythological significance, and visit the Pandukeshwar Temple. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pandukeshwar.

Day 5: Badrinath Darshan – Return to Srinagar
After breakfast, head to Badrinath, one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Explore the temple and visit Mana Village, the last village before the Indo-Tibetan border. On the way back, stop at Karnaprayag and Rudraprayag, known for their sacred river confluences. Overnight stay at a hotel in Srinagar.

Day 6: Srinagar to Rishikesh – Drop at Haridwar
After breakfast, drive to Rishikesh, the yoga capital of the world. Visit Devprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers merge to form the Ganges. Explore Rishikesh and witness the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. In the evening, drive to Haridwar and transfer to the railway station or bus terminal. Your tour with Periyatra concludes here.

  • Terms and Conditions
    1. Booking and Payment
      • A 50% advance payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your Periyatra package.
      • The remaining 50% must be cleared before the commencement of the journey.
    2. Cancellation Policy
      • Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the travel date will receive a 75% refund.
      • Cancellations made between 15 to 30 days prior to travel will receive a 50% refund.
      • No refund will be provided for cancellations made within 14 days of the travel date.
    3. Itinerary Changes
      • In case of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, roadblocks, or government restrictions, the itinerary may be adjusted accordingly.
      • Any additional costs arising from changes in the itinerary will be borne by the traveler.
    4. Health and Fitness
      • Participants must be in good health and physically fit to undertake the journey.
      • Travelers are advised to carry necessary medical supplies and ensure they are medically fit before undertaking the journey.
    5. Travel Documents
      • Travelers must carry a valid government-issued ID proof (Aadhar, Passport, Voter ID) for verification during the journey.
      • Any personal documents required for travel entry must be submitted on time.
    6. Accommodation and Services
      • Accommodation will be provided on a twin-sharing basis in pre-booked hotels/camps as per the itinerary.
      • Any personal expenses such as laundry, telephone calls, or optional activities will be borne by the traveler.
    7. Liability
      • Periyatra and its representatives will not be responsible for any loss, damage, theft, or personal injury during the journey.
      • Travelers are advised to have their own travel insurance covering medical emergencies and loss of belongings.
    8. Force Majeure
      • In case of natural calamities, strikes, political unrest, or any unforeseen circumstances, Periyatra packages may be altered or postponed.
      • Travelers will be informed promptly, and adjustments will be made accordingly, without any compensation for delays caused.
    9. Code of Conduct
      • Travelers must adhere to a respectful and disciplined behavior during the journey.
      • Any inappropriate behavior may lead to immediate termination of services without a refund.
    10. Photography and Media
    • The use of personal cameras or photography equipment is permitted, but travelers must obtain prior permission for professional filming or photography.
    1. Final Decision
    • The final decision regarding the smooth operation of the journey, itinerary adjustments, and services will be at the discretion of Periyatra and its tour leaders.
